It's good to have a plan until your kid throws up all over you. ๐Ÿคฎ

5 years ago, I was on the way to an important meeting...

The goal was simple, drop my 5-year-old-off at school, and get to the meeting as quickly as possible!

If I didn't hit traffic, I would make it just in time.

My son said, ”I’m not feeling well, Dad - ahhh!”

He projectile vomited all over my suit and car (from his car seat behind me)!

I was pissed.

I started freaking out.

I need to be at this meeting!

What should I do?!

I did the only thing I could do at that moment: I laughed. ๐Ÿคฃ

I called the meeting planner and explained what happened in the most humorous way possible.

She loved it.  ๐Ÿค”

I didn't understand at the time what this conversation would do to our business relationship.

This call built trust, built rapport, and was real.

She ended up becoming a huge client.

So, the moral of the story is to get drenched in vomit.  Haha.

No, I'm kidding; the point is just to be real with people.

You're not Superman or Superwoman; if you were, it's not relatable to anyone.
