For the first 4 years of my oldest son’s life, I neglected him. 

I was so focused on my career that I'm sad to say I don't remember much of those early years.

Then it all changed. 

One of my business mentors pointed out that I spent more time focusing on my business plans than I did planning for my children. 

Business strategies, mission statement, vision, values all properly focused on, but I didn't have any of these for my kids!

What in the world was wrong with me?!

I'd be sending these human beings off into the world in a few years, and I didn't have the spine to properly plan for their future.

That all changed!

Now, all of my kids have robust plans to properly position themselves in life. 

Oh, and somehow my business grew more since focusing on them.  Kinda funny how that works.

For all you Fathers out there that are pouring into your children, I salute you!
