One of my mentors, Dan Koval is always reminding me to...
...not only work hard but to play hard too!
Sometimes we get so caught up in the go, go, go that we forget to slow down and actually enjoy life.
Last week was awesome! I conducted 3 strategic storytelling workshops in the Denver area for some incredible business leaders. (By the way, if you haven't booked me for a workshop yet, you're seriously missing out on closing more sales. Just saying.)
After the talks, I took Dan’s advice to heart and had some serious fun. Colorado did not disappoint!
I got to check out:
➡️ The Garden of the Gods (where I learned that rocks can indeed be more photogenic than humans)
➡️ The very first Chipotle (proof that dreams really do come true)
➡️ Stranahan's Distillery (because storytelling is even better with whiskey)
➡️ Avery Brewing and Coors Brewing (for, you know, scientific comparison purposes)
➡️ The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse (where I tried to appear sophisticated while not knowing half the tea names)
➡️ And the Red Rocks Amphitheater to see Steve Martin and Martin Short (who are as hilarious in real life as you’d hope)
It was an amazing mix of work and play, and I’m so grateful for the reminder to enjoy the journey.
Take Dan Koval’s advice and live a little this month!
