Today is Jimmy Carter’s 100th Birthday!

Last year, I was speaking in Atlanta and had the chance to check out his Presidential museum.

Many of you know how much I enjoy going to Presidential museums, regardless of which party the person represented.

So far, I’ve been to:

-George Washington
-Thomas Jefferson
-James Buchanan
-Abraham Lincoln
-Rutherford B. Hayes
-Woodrow Wilson
-Warren G. Harding
-Franklin D. Roosevelt
-Lyndon B. Johnson
-Richard Nixon
-Jimmy Carter
-Ronald Reagan
-George H. W. Bush
-George W. Bush

...museums.

What blew me away the most about Carter’s life was his response to losing the Presidency.

After his loss, he didn’t roll over and do nothing; he committed his life to serving others. A good portion of his museum is what he did after he was President.

It’s an excellent reminder that even when we lose, we can change our perspective and use it for good.

Check out the picture I took from Carter’s museum. It shows a replica of how he had his Oval Office.
